Mini Vaca in Berlin
15 January
Just came back from my first vaca of 2016, 4 days in Berlin! This was probably one of the funniest trips I've been on in a while as well as being the most adventurous. From getting lost trying to find our hotel to exploring famous landmarks in the city of Berlin and then visiting the Sachsenhausen concentration camp. Every day was full of things to do which is one reason I love travelling.
I'm always pretty sceptical when it comes to food in another country, because I absolutely loveeee food so I'm always hoping that i'll be local to nice places to eat. Thankfully the food was so tasty from grilled chicken burgers, kebabs, Chicken wings, Pizza, Warm Croissants you name it, I couldn't stop eating lol.
The weather was pretty bad, I think it was -1 at some point, so I had to wear like 4 layers as well as a warm coat, oh and gloves lol.
From Museums to attractions there is loads to do in Berlin which makes it a fun city to visit. There is so much culture and history which really does make it an awesome place. Things that I learnt in history at school just seemed that little bit more fascinating whilst in Germany. To top it off the food is dead cheap (I ate like a pig and still managed to come back with 20 euros lol). I personally feel that 4 days is more than enough time to really experience the capital to its fullest. I wouldn't recommend going in January because it's so cold but I think spring/summer would be the perfect time to take a little vaca.
